Xét nghiệm phát hiện amphetamine.

Amphetamine là các amine kích thích thần kinh giao cảm.
Các tên khác: amphetamine (Adderall, Dexedrine, Benzedrine), methamphetamine (Desoxyn, “ice,” “speed,” “meth”), ecstasy (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine; MDMA), 3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), 3,4-methylenedioxyethylamphetamine (MDEA, MDE, “Eve”), pseudoephedrine (Sudafed), ephedrine, phentermine (Adipex), methylphenidate (Ritalin).
Các amine khác có tác động đến tâm thần gồm 4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyamphetamine, p-methoxyamphetamine (PMA), p-methoxymethamphetamine (PMMA).
Các thuốc khác có thể chuyển hóa thành methamphetamine/amphetamine: benzphetamine, clobenzorex, famprofazone, fenethylline, fenproporex.

Nam: Âm tính.
Nữ: Âm tính.

Kết quả tăng
Kết quả AMA gia tăng ở >90% bệnh nhân mắc bệnh xơ gan do tắt nghẽn ống dẫn mật nguyên phát (primary biliary cirrhosis-PBC)
Kết quả tăng có thể do tắc nghẽn gan trong thời gian dài, viêm gan mạn, bệnh xơ gan chưa rõ nguồn gốc
Đôi khi kết quả AMA tăng trong các trường hợp sau:
Bệnh lupus ban đỏ hệ thống (SLE)
Bệnh viêm khớp dạng thấp (RA)
Bệnh tuyến giáp
Bệnh thiếu máu ác tính
Bệnh Addison tự phát
